Project Description

Park Slope Brownstone

This apartment, in a beautiful brick and brownstone building in the Park Slope Historic District, had a railroad-type room layout where the second bedroom could only be reached by passing through the bathroom. The new design created a small hallway to improve circulation, renovated the bathroom and created a walk-in closet for the master bedroom as well as a dedicated shoe closet. The compact bathroom was made to feel larger by extending the wall tiles up to the ceiling, and using an oversized wall mirror. Storage was handled with a cabinet and shelves built into a niche. In the bedroom, the closet doors are hidden in a wall of vertical board paneling.
